Laura has cut her teeth on a diverse range of events; from co-ordinating an international hitchhike while on her placement year at university, to planning and delivering one of the country’s largest educational esports tournaments.
In her role at Ukie’s Digital Schoolhouse, she is charged with engaging children in learning about computer science, by promoting skills and careers information that could equip them for future roles.
She specialises in delivering immersive events, including a recent tournament with Nintendo which reached more than 1,000 teams and 10,000 students from across the UK. She has also acted as the organisation’s lead for an international game jam, numerous training events and for developing its brand identity.
Laura says: “Without the confidence and variety of experience that ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ motivated me to cultivate, there’s no way I’d be where I am now. I would choose my course again in a heartbeat. Events management has equipped me with real insight and expertise which has given me a head start in my career.â€
