Foundation courses are not required for application to the program. Applicants may submit their applications without completing these courses. MSA students who need ACCT 320 and ACCT 325 as foundation courses can complete them in the summer prior to starting the program. The specific foundation courses needed by each applicant will be determined by the MSA Program Coordinator, based on a review of the submitted transcripts for course equivalency.

Foundation course requirements can be satisfied through undergraduate courses completed in the
last five years with a grade of “B-“ or better.

  • The two lower-division courses, ACCT 210 and ACCT 215, can be transferred from
    equivalent courses taken at other universities or community colleges.
  • The two upper-division courses, ACCT 320 and ACCT 325, must be taken at an AACSB
    accredited 4-year university or college.

These four courses are offered regularly at CSUEB each semester. Non-CSUEB students can take these courses through .
