Mental Health Advisers work collaboratively with students, enabling them to take responsibility for their own learning and become resilient individuals. Students are encouraged to develop positive habits and routines. Advisers use a wide range of techniques to assist students with communication and interaction difficulties and to manage sensory overload by identifying triggers and strategies to counteract them.

Student wellbeing is key and assessed on a regular basis. The Mental Health Advisers work jointly with students to create safety and wellness plans.

The is awarded to students with learning or physical disabilities as well as mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression.
