Our Step into Spring Challenge is now complete. The challenge invited members of the ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ alumni community, as well as university staff and contacts, to get active during April and raise money to help students in financial hardship.
Thank you if you took up an activity challenge during the month of April and a huge congratulations if you completed it!
Participants took up a range of activities, from walking 10,000 steps a day, to running 5k every day and running as many kilometres as their years of age.
At our last count we had clocked up nearly 800km via the ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ Alumni Strava Club and raised £360 via Just Giving. Thank you again if you donated or attracted sponsorship. All the money raised will help students in hardship cover the essential costs required to continue their studies. We have seen unprecedented levels of demand on our hardship fund over the past year, so every little helps.
This was the first time we have set out on a community challenge like this. If you have any feedback, or ideas for future challenges, we’d love to hear them. Let us know your thoughts by emailing [email protected].
