CSUEB Introduces Forever Pioneer Weekend for Alumni

ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥, East Bay alumni are invited back to campus Nov. 13-14 for the inaugural Forever Pioneer Weekend, an event celebrating CSUEB graduates and allowing them to reconnect with classmates and the university.
The activities include the new Distinguished Alumni program, which honors notable alumni from all four colleges at a gala event, and a Golden Grad Reunion, celebrating alumni from the first five graduating classes. In addition, Athletics, Associated Students Inc. and Greek alumni will also have special reunion activities, and the multimedia graduate program will celebrate its 20th anniversary.

GOLDEN GRAD CELEBRATION

Alumni who graduated from 1961 through 1965 are invited to the inaugural Golden Grads Reunion. Join this special celebration of Pioneer alumni who graduated from the university when it was known as Alameda County State College (1960-63) and California State College at Hayward (1963-1972). Graduates and family members as well as university faculty, staff and friends of those early days are invited to enjoy a lunch and stroll down memory lane through memorabilia and photos.

The Distinguished Alumni Awards are the highest honor bestowed by ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥. Since 1985, ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ has presented the awards to its most accomplished graduates, recognizing their professional achievements, contributions to society and support of the university.
ALUMNI LUNCH
Saturday, Nov. 14, noon-2 p.m.
University Union Plaza
A luncheon celebration will be held on the University Union Plaza with friends, family, and classmates while President Leroy M. Morishita welcomes alumni back to campus. Participants can then visit one of the demonstration sites to see the student projects that are gaining national attention. Alumni are encouraged to bring photos from their time on campus to add to reunion display boards and help everyone relive memories from their university days.

ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥’s new athletic director, Joan McDermott, and professor emeritus and former coach Don Sawyer welcome all former Pioneer athletes, families, friends and fans to a celebration honoring all athletic programs — past and present. This is an opportunity for former teammates and other athletes to learn about the future of the ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ Athletics program. The program begins at 2:30.
ASI ALUMNI REUNION

The Associated Students, Inc. invites all former ASI officers and board members to the 2nd annual ASI Alumni reunion. The event provides an opportunity for former classmates and student leaders from across the decades to reconnect. The reunion includes the unveiling of the ASI Alumni Wall.

Since the program launched in 1995, CSUEB’s multimedia graduate students have created interactive digital art and products through unique collaborative coursework and projects. Multimedia alumni are invited back to celebrate the program's 20th anniversary and see how ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥’s multimedia graduates are contributing to the digital, multimedia world of the 21st century.
