When Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans and shuttered its colleges and universities, ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ welcomed displaced students with open arms.
On the 10-year anniversary of the devastating storm in U.S. history, local news stations shared the story of the Katrina Scholars program that helped 72 students recover from the disaster and continue their education.
