A.J. Hebert and Adam Stone were named to the Division II PING All-West Region team by the Golf Coaches Association of America after leading the ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ golf team to its most successful season in program history. The left-handers are the first CSUEB golfers to be recognized with all-region honors since Chris Herzog in 2012-13.

Hebert and Stone helped the Pioneers peak in the postseason. Stone placed fourth individually at the NCAA regionals, missing a spot in the NCAA national championships by one stroke. Hebert was ninth at regionals, helping the Pioneers to a sixth-place finish at the tournament, their best showing as members of Division II. The strong NCAA regionals performance came after ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ reached the match play finals of the California Collegiate Athletic Association championships with a semifinal win over No. 4 nationally ranked Chico State.

Stone's scoring average of 73.24 led the team and ranked fourth among all CCAA golfers, earning him All-CCAA first-team honors in his sophomore season. He captured two individual tournament championships, posted five top-10 finishes and was twice named CCAA Golfer of the Week. Stone, who is from England, also won both of his matches at the CCAA championships, highlighted by a season-low round of 66 to defeat Chico State's Alistair Docherty.

Hebert was second on the Pioneers with a 74.72 scoring average and notched four top-10 finishes, capturing an All-CCAA honorable mention nod. The Pleasanton, Calif. native was also named CCAA Golfer of the Week on Mar. 25 after carding a career-best round of 65 to finish as runner-up at the Cal State San Bernardino Coyote Classic.

A total of 116 players representing the country's eight regions were awarded with GCAA All-Region honors.
