The head of the ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ will tour Fresno State Wednesday, fielding students' questions and talking with faculty during his first official visit since taking office.

Chancellor Timothy White, who took over for Charles Reed last December, will host a public forum in the North Gym at 3 p.m.

University spokeswoman Kathleen Schock said White made a promise to visit each of the 23 CSU campuses in his first year. While this visit marks his first official trip, she said, White did travel to Fresno State this year to attend former President John Welty's retirement send-off.

White earned his bachelor's degree from Fresno State before going on to ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥, East Bay and the University of California at Berkeley.
