Assembly hearing Friday on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math

WALNUT CREEK -- An Assembly Select Committee will meet Friday to review a task force's findings and recommendations related to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, or STEM, instruction.

Assemblywoman Susan Bonilla, D-Concord, will host the hearing in the Contra Costa Transportation Authority Board Room at 2999 Oak Road, Suite 110 in Walnut Creek.

Participants include the state Superintendent of Public Instruction, the director of the state Department of Education's Professional Learning and Support Division, the chief executive officer of the California STEM Learning Network; a co-chairman of CSU East Bay's Gateways STEM Network, and the Long Beach schools superintendent.
