Anderson-Bonfiglio-Bedrossian Trio to present concert in Livermore Sunday

The Anderson-Bonfiglio-Bedrossian Trio will present a concert of classic works at 2 p.m. Sunday,Mother's Day, at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Livermore.
The program will include "Trio," op.11, by Ludwig van Beethoven; "Fantasy Trio," op.26, by Robert Muczynski; "Eight Pieces," op.83, nos. 2, 6, and 4, by Max Bruch; and "Trio in A minor," op. 114, by Johannes Brahms.
Pianist Mark Anderson is executive director of New World Music Academy in Pleasanton. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance from San Jose State University, as well as post-graduate degrees from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and the Royal Academy of Music in London.
In June 2001, he was awarded the Master of Arts in Multimedia from ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ East Bay. He has performed world wide, and his recordings on Nimbus Records have received numerous awards. His most recent recording, the solo piano music of Hans von Bülow, contains works never before recorded and was released in November 2011.
Anderson was appointed assistant professor in Piano and Chamber Music at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, last September. His web site can be located at http://www.markandersonpianist.com/.
Clarinetist Joseph Bonfiglio earned a Bachelor of Music degree at the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University and a Master of Music degree at the Juilliard School. Along with teaching part time on the faculty at Chabot College, he maintains a teaching studio at Ingram and Brauns Musik Shoppe in Pleasanton.
He has taught at the Peabody Preparatory School in Baltimore, the Walden School in Vermont, and at UC Santa Barbara, where he is an associate professor of Music.
In addition to many solo and chamber music performances, he can be heard on two CDs, "The Open Path" and "Through the Trees" with the chamber ensemble "Departure," and on the film score to the Showtime Movie, "Fat Rose and Squeaky."
Cellist Peter Bedrossian, a native of Long Island, holds both A.B. and Ph.D. degrees in physics from Harvard University and is currently on the staff of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
Previously, he worked in the Surface Science Division at Sandia National Laboratory in Albuquerque, and he was an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow at the Institute for Interface Science and Vacuum Physics at the Jülich Research Center in Germany.
He has studied cello with Mildred Johnson, Claus Adam, and George Neikrug and has served as principal cellist with the Tassajara Symphony, the Livermore Valley Opera and the Livermore-Amador Symphony. Bedrossian, who lives in Livermore, also plays with the Berkeley Symphony and the Fremont Symphony.
This concert will be a special treat for Mother's Day. Early arrival is recommended, as seating is limited to approximately 100.
There will be a reception with the opportunity to meet the artists following the concert.
