ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ hosts ‘Preview Day’ Oct. 20 for prospective students

Preview Day is for prospective students, who will learn about admission requirements and financial aid, student life, athletics and academic support programs.

Prospective students and their families are invited to visit ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥’s Hayward Campus from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, when the university hosts “Preview Day.” Representatives from each of the university’s four colleges and administrative departments will be on hand to talk about their programs and conduct tours of the campus.

The university campus is located at 25800 Carlos Bee Blvd. in Hayward.

Although advance registration is not required, it is recommended. Registration can be completed online at .

“We want anyone considering attending ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ to join us and explore the vast array of academic programs and student services available, as well as to discover the beauty of our campus, which has a panoramic view of the bay and the San Francisco Bay Area,” said Amanda Segura, director of enrollment development and communications for CSUEB. “We encourage parents and other family members to come as well.”

Tours will be offered starting at 9:30 a.m., commencing from the New University Union lawn area on the southwest side of the campus.

Attendees will learn about the university’s admission requirements and financial aid, student life, athletics and academic support programs.

Faculty members teaching the most popular majors and courses of study ranging from business to pre-nursing will be on hand to provide information and answer questions, while current students will discuss and answer questions about student clubs and organizations.

Free lunch will be available for Preview Day students through the Dining Commons at the south end of campus. Parents and additional guests may purchase lunch for $8.50.

Prospective students looking to be admitted to CSUEB for the fall 2013 quarter may apply during the priority application filing period that begins Oct. 1, 2012.
