CSUEB's Honors Convocation Saturday at Music Bldg. Peristyle

The top 233 students in the 2012 graduating class of ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥, East Bay, will receive their summa cum laude, magna cum laude and cum laude medallions at the University Honors Convocation at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 12, at the Music Building Peristyle on CSUEB's Hayward Campus, 25800 Carlos Bee Blvd.
Evelyn S. Dilsaver ’77 (Business Administration), a recognized leader in building highly motivated teams in both the public and nonprofit sectors, will be the keynote speaker. As president and CEO of Charles Schwab Investment Management, she was responsible for all facets of the business, from portfolio management to product development, sales, operations and technology, growing assets from $137 billion to more than $200 billion in four years while generating $1 billion in revenue.
Dilsaver also has been chair of the board for Women’s Initiative, a nonprofit organization that helps lower income women become economically independent by providing a one-stop organization for training, micro-finance, and savings to help them start their own businesses. She serves on several boards of directors, including the ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ Educational Foundation and The Commonwealth Club, and is chair of the board for Bishop O’Dowd High School.
A reception for all in attendance will be held in the Theatre Grove immediately following the University Honors Convocation.
