SCHOOL NOTES: CSUEB hosts Asian-American, Pacific Islander education summit

ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ is holding an education summit on Saturday for students of Asian-American and Pacific Islander heritage who would be the first generation in their families to attend college.
The summit is open to students in grades six through 12 who are striving for a college education, as well as their parents.
It will include speakers, information sessions and a resource fair with representatives from CSU and community colleges. Workshops will cover topics including student life on campus, admissions and financing education through grants, scholarships and financial aid.
ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ is co-hosting the event with San Francisco State. It begins at 8:30 a.m. in the New University Union at the Hayward campus, 25800 Carlos Bee Blvd. For more information, visit / or call 510-885-3516.
