Pioneers Roll Past Academy of Art

HAYWARD, Calif. - The Pioneer baseball team improved to 9-18-1 for the season following a 14-0 non-conference win over Academy of Art University on March 23.
East Bay took a commanding 12-0 lead after four innings. Charlie Sharrer drove in two runs with a single in the second while Jake Walter hit a two-run home run in the fourth inning.
Nick McManus drove in three runs while Stephen Gatehouse, Devin Grigg, Sharrer, and Walter all had two RBI. Grigg and Richie Gonzalez each scored three runs.
Pioneer starting pitcher Nick Goulet won his first game of the as he blanked the Urban Knights on two hits with six strikeouts in five innings.
ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ will resume CCAA play with a four-game series against Sonoma State on March 27-28.
