CBE Speaker Series resumes Dec. 4 on CFO management

The importance of relationship management for an organization’s chief financial officer is the subject of the next presentation of the College of Business and Economics Speakers Series at 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4 on the Hayward Campus of ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥, East Bay, 25800 Carlos Bee Blvd.
Students, faculty, staff, and the public are invited to attend the presentation, “CFO and the Five Phases of Grief” presented by Michael S. Day. It will take place in room 124 of the Valley Business and Technology Center. Admission is free.
Day is senior vice president and CFO for the California State Automobile Association. He will discuss the importance of relationship management as part of the CFO function. Day is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, vice chair of the board of the AAA Life Insurance Co., and serves on the board of Bay Area Junior Achievement.
The CSAA is the second largest AAA (Automobile Association of America) affiliate, with more than $2.6 billion in revenue and 4.3 million members.
The CBE Speaker Series, launched in 2009, brings a number of accomplished business executives per year to speak at CSUEB’s College of Business and Economics on subjects of broad interest and relevance to business.
