BFA students show work through April 23

ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥, East Bay Bachelor of Fine Arts candidates will show their work in the University Art Gallery, 25800 Carlo Bee Blvd., Hayward. The opening reception will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday, April 1. The exhibition will be open from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays April 2-23. Admission is free.
Students showing paintings will be: Jose Luis Andrade Leon from Mexicali, Baja California; Darren Chappell, Richmond; Carol Faber, Pleasanton; Pamela Harris, Oakland; Tony Hoang, Pomona; Rene Mijares, Aklan, Philippines; Kris Newell, San Leandro; Diane Reilly, Oakland; Amber Rose, Willows; and Emily Vanderlaan, Alameda.
Nicole Carroll, Modesto; Isabel Green, Oakland; Tracee Littlepage, Modesto; and Randi Willis, Tuolumne will show photography. Roberto A. Alvarado, Union City; Ryan Timm, San Diego; and
Michael Wallace, San Leandro will show sculpture, and Michael Matteri, Benicia; and Victor Salazar, Hayward will show works on paper.
Concurrently, the Satellite Gallery, in the back of the University Gallery, will show “Pre-Columbian Sculpture,” including figures and faces from the ancient Mesoamerican traditions of the Olmec, the Maya, and the Aztec.
