Saxophonist Dayna Stephens and the ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥, East Bay Jazz Ensembles will bring their music to Yoshi's Jazz Club Tuesday, March 3 for the 10th Annual Night of Jazz Music Department Scholarship Fundraiser.

Performing under the direction of Johannes Wallmann and Dann Zinn, the jazz musicians will do two shows, at 8 and 10 p.m. at the Oakland Yoshi's, 510 Embarcadero Way, at Jack London Square.

The New York Times described him as "a hard-driving and resourceful tenor saxophonist." JazzTimes called his 2007 CD, The Timeless Now, a "timely debut [that] may signal the birth of a new cool," and the San Diego Union-Tribune raved, "Just when the brilliant young jazz musician seems to come into focus, he reveals another facet of his already improbably expansive musical gift."
