ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ will recognize more than 6,000 graduates at this year’s annual commencement ceremonies scheduled for June 9-11 at the university’s Hayward and Concord campuses.
This year, ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ will confer an honorary Doctor of Laws degree to Rosie Rios, the 47th treasurer of the United States and a known influential civic, business and government leader. Rios will receive her degree during the 10 a.m. commencement ceremony June 11 at the Hayward campus.
Each ceremony is expected to take 2.5 hours and will include presentations from student speakers and ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ President Leroy M. Morishita.
Undergraduates who have taken at least one class at the university’s Concord campus are eligible to participate at a ceremony in Concord. It will include the same rituals as the Hayward Campus ceremonies, but will be geared toward Contra Costa County students and guests. Students interested in participating must sign up beforehand by emailing ccinfo@csueastbay.edu.
